	Quercus alba Powder W.C. Properties and Uses: Properties and Uses: Astringent tonic an infusion of White Oak Bark can be used internally or externally (as enema douche) for hemorrhage and other rectal problems menstrual problems blood in the urine. Used internally at the externally at the same time, white oak bark makes a good medication for varicose veins. The tea has also been used to stop internal hemorrhage, reduce fever, and wash sores and skin irritations. For mouth and throat irritations, use it as a gargle or mouthwash.
