	Galega officinalis C/S W.C. Properties and Uses: Diaphoretic, diuretic galactagogue. Goat rue is not commonly used today. In the past it has been used for fevers and worms, and was believed to cure bites from poisonous animals. An extract. Of the dried plant is sometimes used stimulate the flow of milk in nursing mothers. The seeds apparently lowers bold sugar levels and may be useful for diabetes. CAUTION: Sheep have been poisoned by the fresh plant.
